Data Sharing

Access NCANDA Data

NCANDA data will be distributed to qualified investigators through the NIAAA. To gain access to research and clinical data, researchers must submit an application and complete the Data Distribution Agreement. For more detailed information about the application process and requirements click here.

NCANDA data is collected from a sample of 831 participants across five research sites (UC San Diego, SRI International, Duke University, the University of Pittsburgh, and the Oregon Health & Science University).

Data from the five research sites collected under a standardized Consortium-wide protocol is sent to the Data Analysis Resource of the NCANDA consortium at SRI International. The Data Analysis Resource is responsible for quality control and analysis of the data. The NIAAA is responsible for sharing the data.

Data collected includes:

Imaging Data
  • • Structural MRI (T1, T2)
  • • Diffusion tensor imaging
  • • Resting-state and task-based fMRI (Stroop Match-to-Sample, Anti-saccade)

Non-imaging Data
  • • Neurocognitive
  • • Clinical information
  • • Substance use
  • • Demographic information
